Campton Community Power promotes individual rate switching

Agendas & · Meeting of January 21, 2026

NH CAMPTON — Campton Community Power opts for individual rate shopping over town-wide supplier switch. Committee Chair Bill Sebastian and members voted to help residents navigate price volatility by providing switching information and public assistance rather than pursuing a formal town-wide change from Community Power to utility default service. Rates announced by the Community Power Coalition for the February 1 interval exceed those of Eversource and NHEC; New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission rulings on undercollection recovery and futures pricing are expected to drive utility rates higher in August.

The committee will distribute notification cards, staff an information table at the March town meeting, and conduct public sessions on switching options.
